How to Make People Care about the Environment

Two new appointments, of a very different nature, will make a difference to the planet. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, recently appointed Lieutenant Governor for Ontario, gave a wonderful speech to the Woman for Nature event in Toronto, talking about the importance of sustainable development and especially the conservation of biodiversity for the planet. Annie Lennox, the new Executive Director of Greenspeace, and the creator of the Story of Stuff, talks in this article about how to get more people to care for the environment. With leaders like this in place, and business leaders such as Richard Branson, founder and chairman of Virgin Group, Ltd. and Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, we can look forward to more sustainable world in 2015.
