NewGeography.com is a US-based website developed by Joel Kotkin and Praxis Strategy Group for the purposes of analyzing and discussing the places people work, live and play in the United States (and beyond). NewGeography.com not only looks at the current conditions of cities and communities, but also examines how individuals, companies and communities are adapting to changing conditions. The website is interactive, and it invites the general public to share ideas and comment on articles.
Welcome to HEADTalks!
Redesigning the Future has just been added as a new video resource to the Interesting Stuff section of the website. This video features a panel of designers from the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts (RSA), discussing the role cutting-edge design technologies will have in transitioning societies toward a sustainable manufacturing model.
Created through a partnership between the Community Research Connections program and students of Royal Roads University's Professional Communications program, this HEADTalks video explores the roles of multi-functional spaces in communities, specifically by 'unpackaging' the multiple functions of urban community gardens. Multi-functional spaces integrate multiple uses or functions in overlapping time and space.
