Climate Now, Homework Later

For the past week, young people have marched across the world demanding an end to fossil fuels. Led by Greta Thunberg along with numerous organizations, this movement has seen millions of students (and adults) striking for their futures in over 150 countries. After sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in a carbon-neutral racing yacht, Greta landed in New York City and has since spearheaded protests along the East Coast of the US. On Friday, September 27th, she led a rally and march in Montreal for yet another #GlobalClimateStrike, and inspired many cities and towns across Canada to do the same. In support of students, countless adults walked out of their place of work while many businesses closed, including Lush and MEC. This movement has inspired people from all generations to come together, however, Greta’s main message is to listen to the science.
