We have the knowledge, we have the technology, what we now need is bold political leadership to ensure Canada remains a key player, economically, socially and ecologically, in the new world that is now emerging. The province of BC is already a leader in climate change adaptation and mitigation by local governments, as a result of enlightened provincial policy innovation, so we even have a template for governance arrangements in place.
