Come On Get Scrappy

The clothing industry is second only to oil when it comes to pollution and negative impacts on the environment.

One clothing company based in Cambodia, Tonlé, is setting an incredible example of ‘negative waste’. Not only does Tonlé produce zero waste themselves (we are talking down to stray threads that become reused as notebooks), but they actually work to reverse the waste of other garment factories in Cambodia. On top of their ecological work, Tonlé tackles the other major ethical problem plaguing the garment industry—unfair labour practices—by prioritizing good wages, good working conditions and hours, and hiring disadvantaged women.
