Leaders now meeting at COP 16 Biodiversity Conference!

We are at a crossroads—biodiversity loss is accelerating at an alarming rate. The abundance of mammals, reptiles, birds, fish and amphibians is in freefall, a recent scientific assessment has found global wildlife populations having fallen by an average of 73% in 50 years.

We human beings tend to take for granted those we love and it is even worse with respect to biodiversity. Following the Montreal conference in December 2022, more than 80% of governments have yet to submit a comprehensive plan for conserving biodiversity, which includes their efforts to protect 30% of land and sea for nature, among other things.

We must act now, there is no second chance for extinction. If we can protect 30% by 2030, we will also be mitigating climate change and regenerating ecosystems as critical libraries of life.

Vote for politicians who are committed to halting and reversing biodiversity loss.
