Edging Forward

This article from the Toronto Star describes some of the preliminary findings from Ontario’s basic income three-year pilot project. It details stories from some of the recipients and what struck me was the enhanced agency all of them indirectly described.

In the fifth chapter of my latest book entitled, The Three Little Pigs, I argue that sustainable community development will not be achieved until the implementation of a basic income system across the country. Why? Because a world of haves and have-nots and increasing income disparity worldwide does not lead to peace and prosperity. Sustainability for some and not all clearly is not workable.
