Don't Wear Trash

This video provides a quick, concise (and humorous) look into just how large the carbon footprint (and the human price) of inexpensive, widely available clothing really is. By touching on all the ways “cheaper” garments really cost us more, such as the huge impact on our landfills, the environmental damage that is a result of the initial production process, and the poor working conditions of those responsible for producing them, it also asks us to re-define what our priorities really are. By making more eco-friendly fashion choices (like buying local and planning to invest in quality pieces), we won’t only have a positive impact on the disposable nature of the industry, but we’ll also be working towards changing our worldview about what kind of consumers should, and will be the cornerstone of the future carbon neutral economy.
