Our Canada Project (OCP) Youth Ambassadors

Submitted by robertgnewell on 30 January 2014

The Our Canada Project (OCP) is an initiative of Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF) that aims to involve youth in the process of envisioning a more sustainable future for Canada.  OCP uses an online platform with interactive, map-based components to engage youth across the country, encouraging them to express what they see as integral components of the vision of a sustainable Canada and to identify the actions required to make the vision a reality.

OCP is currently looking for 26 youth leaders (age 18-30) to act as ambassadors for the initiative. An OCP Ambassador will deliver presentations to various types of local youth groups (e.g. sports teams, schools, youth service organizations, etc.) on the initiative and will encourage youth to contribute to the project. OCP Ambassadors will be paid to deliver pre-made presentations to these groups, and the most successful Ambassador will receive a Canadian travel adventure valued at $1500.
