Dr. Randall explores ways of achieving sustainable communities and regions, with a focus on: urban and suburban form; sustainable transportation. He investigates decision support tools that address the notion that current suburban development (or sprawl) is not sustainable. The purpose of his tools is to generate and evaluate alternative configurations for existing neighbourhoods that are more sustainable.
