Marty Collier is a veteran of Toronto's sustainable transportation scene. He has been working with Moving The Economy / Detour's UrbanSource since 1999 and was selected as the first manager of the Ontario Smart Growth Network in July 2004. Previously, he worked with the Recycling Council of Ontario, Nature Conservancy of Canada and the Community Bicycle Network. Marty has been active with many groups opposed to major road building projects, including the 407 Action Group and Citizens Against the Front Street Extension. He holds a Master of Environmental Studies degree in Urban Planning from York University, a Business and Psychology degree from Queen's University, and a Business Computer Systems certificate from Herzing Institutes -- but has yet to own a car.
