An Action Agenda for BC Decision-Makers
Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation
Climate change is a global issue; however, sources of greenhouse gas emission have local contexts. Therefore, local governments have critical roles in reducing emissions and, subsequently, climate vulnerability. British Columbia has emerged as leading edge province in sustainable development research and practice, and many leading municipalities in BC have used the provincial policies to implement innovative climate action strategies. This Agenda was developed through the MC3 project to inform BC decision-makers about the legislative and policy steps necessary for continuing the province’s leadership in climate action and innovation.
