There’s no denying that digital technology and social media have dramatically transformed our world. We are very good at creating new tools, but less so in optimizing their use for the good of all humanity. Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram have fundamentally changed the way we now connect with one another and how many friends we have. On the other hand, how many of you have seen a couple in a restaurant both on their iPhones? The very platforms that claim to be connecting us may be contributing to more loneliness and isolation.
Please watch this brilliant social commentary, “Can We Auto-Correct Humanity”, in which Prince Ea provocatively urges us to reconnect with our humanity. He’s not insisting that we quit social media, rather he’s calling on people to be balanced, be present, be mindful, be here, an important path towards the Good Society.
