The Good Society--Individual Leadership
Somebody has to do something, it is just incredibly pathetic it has to be us. (Gerry Garcia)
In my last post on 'fearless leadership' the video I featured showed us the magnitude of the challenges we are facing, not the least is political will and leadership for climate change adaptation and mitigation. Often, however, in our search for the perfect solution and the big fix, we miss the many small steps that we as individuals can make in our day-to-day lives. When you buy something, think about whether or not it brings economic assets to your own community, think about the connections between your own health and having access to a walkable community. And while you are walking, it you pick up a little litter around you, then your community will be cleaner. Sounds too simple to be good, but often a wonderful piece of art renders the complex simple.
