The Community Conservation Research Network

The Community Conservation Research Network (CCRN) is working toward a better understanding of and support for the links between sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation, from a community perspective. We are seeking new insights into “best practices” for local communities engaging in conservation and livelihood initiatives, for governments developing policies supportive of these local efforts, and for innovative governance that supports conservation in keeping with community values. We invite you to follow the CCRN's progress.

Through our newly revamped website, this newsletter and our social media channels we hope to provide a focal point for knowledge sharing and capacity building on the interactions of Communities, Conservation and Livelihoods, and in particular a hub for community-based conservation research and support initiatives around the world.

Please take some time to read our newsletters, explore our website, discover community stories, and watch our videos on how communities are dealing with environmental and livelihood challenges.
