We are leading a biodiversity conversation series, starting on September 27th, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. EDT. I am leading this series in my capacity as Co-Chair of Women for Nature, Nature Canada. There will be four e-Dialogues in this series, and I encourage you to visit Changing the Conversation to explore what we are doing as we convene our colleagues from Women for Nature.
I believe that we are hitting critical tipping points in meeting our climate change mitigation and adaptation challenges, and our next big leap forward has to be with biodiversity conservation, the most critical imperative we are now facing. There is no second chance from extinction, and in my most recent blog, Monbiot is calling the level of expirations and extinctions now happening, ecocide. So let’s start moving forward on this critical imperative, as what is Canada without the call of the loon and the polar bear.
