Kathy Bardswick, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Co-operators Group Limited, was the second of four presenters on the panel put together for our March workshop on rethinking growth and prosperity, De-growth: A Critical Juncture?. Bardswick discusses how our societies have shifted from developing the systems that support us based on the "why", or reasons for developing these systems, to basing these systems on the "how" and "what", the products. She explains that we can begin returning back to the "why", the fundamental purposes of social and economic systems, through exploring and implementing co-operative models into our social and economic infrastructure.
