We are pleased to announce the publication of a new eBook entitled, Sustainable Development in the Circumpolar North.

Focusing on the development of a sustainable future for rural and northern regions, the book touches on the themes of governance, community, economic, and social development, as well as development in Indigenous communities and regions. At its core, the publication confronts critical issues and ways to facilitate positive change for communities that are experiencing economic and social transformation.

As we approach the 150th anniversary of our founding, our future is unclear and unsettled. Our strengths and potential are being tested by complex economic, social, political, cultural, and environmental challenges. We might succeed in addressing our challenges and realizing our potential, or we might fail and squander what has and could have been.

What will it take for Canadians to succeed in creating a good future?

We have also published the word clouds from each of the eight virtual dialogues we have led over the last two years to see the main themes we will be discussing on February 27th during the peer-to-peer learning exchange in Victoria, B.C.
