You will need to register, that is, establish a login name and password, to access the e-dialogues. To access the registration/login screen, go to the login page. Before entering the e-Dialogues, please review the software information page to ensure that you know how to navigate and use the e-Dialogue software. If needed, the following are step-by-step instructions to register, including troubleshooting contact information. |

| 1. Registering for e-Dialogue discussions | top |

You must register an account (which gives you a login name and password) in order to take part in the discussions. Proceed by going to the login page. To register, please first read the "Rules, Policies, and Disclaimers". Then click the "I Agree" button. Complete the short registration form (click here for a sample screen) and then click the "Submit" button. All of the four sections are required to be filled in. After your click the submit button this information will be sent to the email address you provided as a reminder of what your login name and password are. You may now click on the "Login" button located in the top menu bar and fill in the appropriate information. You are then redirected to the e-Dialogues home page where for confirmation, you should see your login name in the upper right hand corner in orange text. IMPORTANT: The "Login Name/Publicly Displayed Name" is the name that will be displayed in the e-Dialogues should you decide to post comments. You can choose not to display your full legal name. In fact, to ensure that you retain your anonymity, if this is important to you, select a name that obscures your identity. For example, you can use just a first name, a first name plus initial, or a nickname. You can also edit your "Login Name/Publicly Displayed Name" later if you wish (see below). See step 3 to login using your login name and password.

If you find that you have followed the above procedure and yet you cannot enter the forum, check to ensure that you have "cookies" enabled in your browser security options.

| 3. Logging in to an e-Dialogue discussion | top |
|
To login to an e-Dialogues discussions, return to the login page or choose the "Enter e-Dialogues" button located at the top of each page on the e-dialogues.royalroads.ca website. Enter your Login Name and Password in the appropriate text fields on the login screen. (Click here for sample screen). Click the "Login" button to proceed. You will then enter the main home page for the e-Dialogues. This area will list all of the upcoming e-Dialogues and also provide a link (near the bottom) to previous e-Dialogues. Click on the underlined text of the e-Dialogue that you wish to enter. You will then see several topics listed. Click on the text of the topic you wish to view.

| 4. Editing Your Profile | top |
| You can change your "Login Name/Publicly Diplayed Name" and several other preferences you indicated in your registration information. Click the "Profile" button from the top of the e-Dialogues discussion page. (Click here for sample screen). Next, changed the desired information. You will need to provide your password to do this. Once you are finished making the changes click the "Submit" button. A confirmation page will then appear and shortly after you will be taken back to the e-Dialogues home page.

| 5. Forgotten Login Names & Passwords | top |

If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it by clicking on the link "Forgot your password? Click here" on the Registration/Login page. (Click here for sample screen.) Next, enter your Login Name and email address in the text fields and then click the "Submit" button. (Click here for sample screen). A new password will be sent to that email address immediately. Upon receiving the new email you must follow instructions to activate the new password by clicking on the hyperlink provided. Then, simply click the Login button at the top of the page and use your new password. |
