Community Research Connections

Welcome to the Community Research Connections project. This site is a part of two research projects by Dr. Ann Dale and colleagues: a Canada Research Chair in sustainable community development, and a joint Infrastructure Canada / SSHRC project to study the state of the art in sustainable infrastructure in Canada. It is a young site, and its content will be growing steadily with content from the researchers and from readers like you. We invite you to read, listen to, use, or contribute to any of its features:

Case studies in sustainable infrastructure and sustainable community development: Read and comment on the existing cases, or contact us if you have a case study in sustainable community development that you would like to contribute.

An online forum on sustainable infrastructure. You can read and comment on existing threads anonymously, or register to post new topics.

Do you have a story to tell about sustainability in your community? Thoughts about where things are going, what is happening, or what we should be doing? Share your story by typing it in or phoning a toll-free number and leaving your story as a message, and it will appear immediately in our podcast.

Search for leading-edge innovators in our sustainable infrastructure Innovator Database.

Have a community project that you would like to promote? Register for a free account and you can have your own blog on our site, which will be visible on its own or in the aggregated blog.

You can have real-time chat with other users of the site using the e-dialogue function. You could also use this to schedule a dialogue, then archive the dialogue on your blog or in the forums.

Finally, if you have any questions about the site or would like to send feedback directly to the site administrator, please contact us. Enjoy!
