This is a collection of case studies related to two major projects headed by professor Ann Dale:

• the Canada Research Chair in Bridging Intellectual and Social Capital in Canadian Communities.  These case studies focus on sustainable development initiative occurring in communities across Canada.  Please note that most of these case studies have not yet been entered into this tool.  It is our goal to eventually allow communities to directly input their own case studies in this section as a means of making connections with other communities and experts and to maintain a record of the many sustainable community development initiatives which would otherwise remain unknown to those outside of that community.
• the Infrastructure Choices for Sustainable Community Development project funded by Infrastructure Canada/SSHRC. These are case studies in sustainable infrastructure, in the categories of energy, governance, land-use planning, transportation, and waste.
